World looking at India: Nath on Tata deal

Commerce Minister Kamal Nath today congratulated Tata Motors on successfully closing a deal with Ford on acquiring the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

"My congratulations to the Tatas and entire corporate world as they have held India's private sector flag high. The world is looking at India," Nath said at the sidelines of a CII meet here.

Adding on, Nath pointed out that the deal is a sign of the rising competitiveness of Indian companies, even in the event of a global slow down.
