Xerox India has teamed up with Karnataka State Printers Association (KSPA) and the Karnataka government to set up a print testing and training centre in Bangalore. |
According to a statement from Xerox, the centre will offer modules on vocational skills to assist students with technical capabilities in the domain of pre-press, press, post-press and digital printing. |
Set up with the purpose to encourage a growing number of students/entrepreneurs to evaluate a career in digital printing industry, the training centre will offer over 18 courses/modules. |
Additionally the centre will have over 11 machines installed and 8 computers to ensure on-the-job-training skills along with theory sessions. |
Sharing details of the tie-up, Andrew Horne, MD, Xerox India, said, "This educational initiative will benefit 5,000 professionals annually. As the industry grows and matures, it requires professional training and development of technical capabilities in an organised form. The tie-up with KSPA is part of our long term commitment to continue to grow the industry and be the first to develop a strong educational platform for the Indian digital printing industry." |
