Y S Mayya takes over as CMD of ECIL

Y S Mayya has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL, Hyderabad) — a Public Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy.      

He succeeds K S Rajasekhara Rao who superannuated on April 30, a ECIL release said here today.      

Mayya has been with ECIL as Director (Technical) since September 2007 and was in-charge of business and technology development activities in Atomic Energy, Space, Security, IT, Telecom, Control Systems and e-Governance areas.      

Mayya's recent contributions include design of antenna control system for the 32 metre Deep Space Network Antenna of Chandrayaan-I programme, the release added.
