"India is an important market for us, and we plan to consolidate our position here. The new company will enhance our business activity in the country," H Yanagi, CEO and managing director of Yamaha Motor India, said.
The new company, which is expected to start operations from October 1, would be led by T Maeda, director (marketing) and Atul Gupta, head (sales and marketing).
Yamaha has Crux and Crux S bikes in the basic segment, City Cruiser and C5 in the standard segment and Fazer LX and DX in the executive segment.
