<b>YES Bank Q2 net up 33% to Rs 235 cr</b>

YES Bank net profit increased 33% to Rs 235 crore for the second quarter ended September, 2011,  as compared to Rs 176.3 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Net interest income rose by 23% to Rs 385 crore as compared to Rs 313.2 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Net interest margins (NIMs) increased to 2.9%.

Overall loan growth stood at 12.7% while deposit growth was at 10.2%.

Total income for the quarter grew 52% to Rs 1652.70 crore as compared to Rs Rs 1,084.80 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Other income which includes non-fund based income, increased 63% to Rs 214 crore from Rs 131 crore y-o-y.

 

At 12.30 pm, the shares of the bank were trading down by 1.85% at Rs 284.5 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
