Passing an interim order, broadcast tribunal TDSAT has directed Zee Turner -- distributor of the Zee group of channels -- to supply signals of its two south-based channels to direct-to-home operator TataSky. Admitting the petition of TataSky, the tribunal directed the DTH operator to sign the reference interconnect offer (RIO) with Zee Turner for sharing signals of two channels Zee Telugu and Zee Kannada.
"As an interim measure and without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, we direct the petitioner (TataSky) to sign the RIO on (a) without prejudice basis and on the RIO being signed, the respondent (Zee Turner) will start supply of signals of the two channels," said the TDSAT bench headed by justice Arun Kumar.
