Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd today reported 10.03% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 213.59 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013-14 fiscal.
The company had registered consolidated net profit of Rs 194.11 crore in the same period of 2012-13 fiscal, ZEEL said in a filing with the BSE.
Its total income in Q3, 2013-14 was Rs 1,188.36 crore, compared to Rs 938.82 crore during the same period of 2012-13.

"While overall economic environment stays challenging, ZEE continues to grow its business at a healthy pace," ZEEL Chairman Subhash Chandra said.
"The network share are on a uptrend, buoyed with the addition of new channels in the network. Our investment in sports business continued during the quarter," he added.
ZEEL's revenue from advertising grew 34.3% to Rs 684.31 crore during the quarter as against Rs 509.38 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company said.
The company's consolidated revenue from subscription also increased to Rs 456.49 crore this quarter. It was Rs 409.76 crore in the year-ago period.
ZEEL scrip closed at Rs 284.45 on the BSE, up 1.03% from the previous close.
