After a successful stint of over a decade, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) Chief Operating Officer and Zee-TV Business Head, Nitin Vaidya, has decided to leave the organisation and explore new vistas.

Vaidya was associated with the Zee family for over a decade. He successfully led Zee’s forays into the regional space and later all national channels, a press release said.

Speaking on his tenure at the Zee Group, Vaidya said: "Its been over 10 glorious years with the Zee family, which I shall always cherish. Zee gave me the opportunity to broaden my horizon and explore diversified functions. I am extremely thankful to the management who have always supported and backed my decisions."

Vaidya's tenure at the Zee Group comprises many landmarks, including launching and later establishing Zee Marathi as the number one channel and setting new benchmarks.

ZEEL's Managing Director & CEO, Punit Goenka, said: "Zee family will always remember Nitin for his adroit understanding of the viewer's mind and penetrating insight into content and programming. The entire Zee family wishes Nitin all success in his new endeavours."

Zee might not seek an immediate replacement for Vaidya.
