Zee Entertainment Q2 net zooms 361%

Mumbai-based media and entertainment company Zee Entertainment has posted a 361% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 97.06 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 21.01 crore for Q2FY07.

According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, consolidated total income has increased to Rs 421.07 crore for the quarter from Rs 364.79 crore for Q2FY07.

On a stand-alone basis, the company has posted a 541% growth in net profit at Rs 69.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30 (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 10.85 crore in Q2FY07.

However, the company's total income for the quarter declined 0.9% to Rs 250.94 crore from Rs 248.72 crore in Q2FY07.
