Zensar Tech Q4 net up 6% at Rs 23 cr; declares dividend

IT firm Zensar Technologies today said its consolidated net profit grew 5.88 per cent to Rs 23.03 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, over the corresponding period a year ago.

The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 21.75 crore in the March quarter last financial year, Zensar Tech said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Consolidated net sales of the company rose to Rs 214.76 crore in the Q4 of FY'09 from Rs 204 crore in the same period last fiscal.

For the financial year ended March 31, Zensar posted a net profit of Rs 86.26 crore, a 33.73 per cent growth compared to Rs 64.50 crore last fiscal.

 

On a standalone basis, the software firm registered a growth of 23.21 per cent in its net profit at Rs 20.01 crore in March quarter of FY'09. The same was at Rs 16.24 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

Meanwhile, the company declared a dividend of Rs 4.5 per share.

Shares of Zensar Technologies surged 9.5 per cent and were trading at Rs 108.9 in the late afternoon trade on the BSE.
