ZTE India appoints Xu Dejun as CEO

Xu has been with ZTE for around twelve years where he had worked in Shenzhen in China as well as its African business

Chinese telecom equipment company ZTE today appointed Xu Dejun as its chief executive officer of its India operations.

Xu has been with ZTE for around twelve years where he had worked in Shenzhen in China as well as its African business.  

Last year, India business clocked in $700 million (Rs 3,808 crore) in sales for this Chinese major. Xu says they have renewed focus on key customers, service business and terminals. ZTE plans to launch a range of teminals including 3G data cards and smartphones in India. It is also eyeing a 30 percent increase in smartphone revenue, in 2013.
 

“Our enterprise business is expanding at a phenomenal rate and we have focused partner initiatives in place to build more synergy. We are working on various projects for education, hospitality and smart cities,” said  said Xu. He had been working in India since 2005.
