Zubair Ahmed resigned as the managing director of Gillette India effective yesterday to pursue other interests.

Ahmed was unable to relocate out of India due to personal reasons. The relocation was part of the internal restructuring after P&G acquired Gillette in 2005.

The appointment of Shantanu Khosla, managing director of Procter & Gamble, as the MD of Gillette India will be proposed at the next board meeting.
