Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

Tata Power on Wednesday announced the commissioning of two transmission lines - 400 Kilovolt (Kv) TandaGonda and 400kV GondaBasti double-circuit line spanning 154 circuit kilometres (Ckm) in Uttar Pradesh.
With this milestone, the company has now commissioned all Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines and substations under the South East UP Power Transmission Company Limited (SEUPPTCL) project, a company statement said.
According to the statement, the network now comprises three 765 kV lines comprising 951 Ckm, fourteen 400 kV lines comprising 566 Ckm, and three 765/400 kV substations with 3460 MVA transformation capacity across the state.
The commissioning of four transmission assets namely 765 kV MainpuriBara Single Circuit Line, 765 kV MainpuriUnnao Single Circuit Line, 400 kV TandaGonda and 400Kv Gonda-Basti double-circuit line will enable the safe and reliable evacuation of over 4,000 MW of thermal power generated within Uttar Pradesh.

The CEO of Chinese mobile device maker OnePlus India, Robin Liu, has stepped down, the firm said on Tuesday.
The development comes as the company works to recover from the ongoing decline in shipments.
"We thank Robin for his contributions to OnePlus India. He moves on to pursue his personal passions, and we wish him the very best for his future endeavours. OnePlus India operations continue with local strategy and business continuity ensured," the company said.
Under Liu, OnePlus recorded a 32 per cent decline in shipments in 2025, according to Cybermedia Research. IDC estimates a 38.8 per cent decline in the company's shipments in 2025 on a YoY basis.

American bank JP Morgan has appointed HSBC Group veteran Rahul Badhwar as its senior country officer for India.
Sjoerd Leenart, J P Morgan's chief executive for Asia Pacific, made the announcement about Badhwar's appointment.
Badhwar replaces Kaustubh Kulkarni, the senior country officer who quit in September to join rival Citigroup.
"India is a critical market for our Asia Pacific franchise, and Rahul will play a central role in driving and executing our growth strategy across the country," the internal memo reviewed by PTI said.
Badhwar's responsibilities will include getting the firm's entire set of offerings to clients, strengthening governance and controls, and supporting the talent base and community, as per the memo.
He will join the firm in July and be based out of Mumbai, it said, adding that Badhwar will report to Leenart and also be a part of the Asia Pacific Management Committee.
