The turnover of pharmaceutical major Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd is expected to rise to around Rs 1,030 crore in 2003-2004 following the merger of German Remedies Ltd (GRL) and Recon Healthcare Ltd with the company.

Net profit for the year is seen at over Rs 110 crore, as per the current working of all group companies.

During the financial year 2001-2002, Zydus had reported a turnover of Rs 589 crore against Rs 506 crore in 2000-01.

Company officials believe that the Zydus group, after the merger, would have benefits of economies of scale, besides synergies through integration of resources in the areas of supply chain and cost management, asset rationalisation and capacity utilisation.
