For the fourth quarter ended 31st March 2016, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) player Zydus Wellness Ltd, registered a 28% rise in net profit to Rs 25.8 crore (up by 9.7% on a like-to-like basis after excluding the reversal of additional excise duty credit for the period April to December 2014 done during the same period last year).

The company's consolidated gross sales of Rs 116.9 crore during the quarter was marginally up from Rs 111.36 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The company claimed in a statement that its sugar substitute brand Sugar Free continued to be the market leader with 93.7% share while its EverYuth Face Wash range was re-launched with fresh packaging in March 2016.

To support growth expansion plans, a new manufacturing plant is being set up by Zydus Wellness-Sikkim, in Sikkim which is expected to commence its production by March, 2017.
