A CBI special court conducting the trial of the 2G spectrum scam said the exhibition of documents by the prosecution would be deemed as tentative. A final view on the objections would be taken during the final arguments. Special judge O P Saini was responding to the objections raised by the defence counsels over exhibition of photocopies of documents by the CBI counsels.

Besides Uday Shahasrabuddhe, assistant vice-president, HDFC Bank deposed before the court on Monday. He verified the bank account papers of Swan Telecom and other documents including the letter sent to the bank for the opening of such an account from the authorised signatory of Reliance Communication.

Three more witnesses including Reliance Telecom’s company secretary, Hasit Shukla, Reliance ADA’s senior VP Vishwanath Devraj and Devender Chandrawarkar, branch manager, ICICI Bank, Mumbai, were also present in the court but were discharged without examination due to paucity of time.

Shahasrabuddhe’s cross examination has been deferred till tomorrow.
