A local court has sent the three persons to 14 days' judicial custody in connection with the murder of two youths in Kawal village in August, which sparked a spate of communal clashes across the district claiming over 60 lives and rendering thousands homeless.

Chief Judicial Magistrate K P Singh yesterday remanded Jahangir, Muzammil and Nadeem to 14 days' judicial custody.

The accused have surrendered before the court last evening, the prosecution said.
