3 CISF jawans shot dead by colleague at Kalpakkam atomic plant

Another two were injured in what is suspected to be a fallout of an altercation between the personnel

Three security personnel were shot dead today by their one of their own colleague at Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Station, near Chennai. Two more security persons were injured in the shootout, which was reported today early morning.

The shootout was reported at around 5.30 a.m.

Sources said that there was an 'altercation' among the security personnel posted at the nuclear complex last night followed by this unfortunate shootout.

Police arrested one V P Singh, who allegedly shot his colleagues. One of the injured is in a serious condition, according to reports.

The complex is located at the coastal village of Kalpakkam, about 100 kms from Chennai.
