41 suspected Heroin packets seized

The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have seized on Tuesday 41 packets of contraband suspected to be Heroin, along with a pistol, three magazines and 18 rounds of ammunition on the Punjab border in two separate incidents.

Inspector General of BSF Punjab frontier, Ajay Kumar Tomar, has issued operational guidelines to strengthen the border domination so as to effectively check the menace of narcotics' smuggling and activities of anti-national elements with Pakistan.

M F Farooqui, IPS, DIG Sector BSF, Amritsar has also issued instructions to under-command units to maintain extra vigil on the border to thwart attempts of smugglers/anti-national elements.
