An additional pair of trains are likely to be operated on Mysore-Varanasi and Mysore-Howrah sements soon.

Considering the increasing passenger traffic on these trains and public demand, Mysore-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha had asked Railway Minister on August 26 to introduce one more train service from Mysore to Varanasi and Mysore to Howrah.

The MP said today in a release that the Minister had promised to take action at the earliest. Following this, Simha met the Divisional Railway Manager of South Western Railway and requested him to appropriate action to meet the needs of the commuters on these two lines by introducing additional pair of trains.

Gowda had announced introduction of one pair of trains between Mysore and Varanasi and a high-speed train between Mysore and Howraih in his Railway Budget.
