Amit Shah has been elected as the President of the Gujarat Cricket Association.

Previously, the post was held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had resigned from the post late last month.

About 10 days back, it had been hinted that Shah, who is considered the most trusted aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would be the next to helm the cricket association.
