Top Army officers today briefed Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah about security and law and order prevailing in the state.
The GOC-in-C Western Command Lt Gen Philip Campose accompanied by GOC 9 Corps Lt Gen Parveen Bakshi, GOC 26 Infantry Division Maj General Ashwani Kumar and GOC 29 Infantry Division Maj General Balbir Singh today called on the Chief Minister here.
During the meeting between various issues relating to prevailing security situation and concerning law and order were discussed, an official spokesman said.
The Army Commanders also raised demands relating to tax issues on canteen supplies, ex-gratia compensation to soliders killed in terrorist operations and along border, and monthly honourarium to World War soliders.
