According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 78,275 people have been affected by the Assam floods till now.

The floods wreaked havoc in a total of 86 villages of the state's five districts, namely Lakhimpur, South-Salmara, Goalpara, Hojai, and Karbi-Anglong, as per the report.

The report also warns of Dhansiri River flowing above the danger level set by Central Water Commission (CWC) bulletin.

On July 25, an Inter-Ministerial team comprising seven members had visited the state to assess the damage caused by recent floods.

After meeting Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on July 18, Prime Minsiter had send sent the seven-member team to state.
