The Assam Public Service Commission has invited application from Indian citizens for the posts of 25 Assistant Engineers (Civil) under Water Resources Department, nine Assistant Inspector of Schools under Assam Education Service, and a Director of Agriculture under Agriculture Department. The eligible candidates may apply on or before July 7, 2016
Eligibility criteria
For Assistant Engineer (Civil) post under Water Resources Department, the ideal candidate needs to have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from any institute recognised by AICTE. The age requirement of the candidate is between 21 to 43 years (as on March 3, 2016)
The Assistant Inspector of Schools under Assam Education Service post invites application from candidates who have an MA, BT or MSc BT degree with at least seven years experience as teacher in secondary schools, or at least five years experience as teacher in secondary schools and two years experience as Sub Inspector of Schools, or MA BT or MSc BT and serving as Deputy Inspector of schools or Additional Deputy Inspector of schools. The candidate should not have exceeded 43 years age limit (as on March 3, 2016).
As for the post of Director of Agriculture under Agriculture Department, the candidate needs to have a first class or high second class degree in Agriculture, or first class or high second class honors or Master's degree in a subject basic to Agriculture Science such as Botany, Chemistry. The candidate needs to have experience in research extension work or teaching experience of 10 years, and experience in Administration of Agriculture in a senior post at least for eight years not below the rank of Deputy Director of Agriculture or equivalent rank. The age limit for this post is maximum 40 years (as on January1, 2016).

The applications must reach Deputy Secretary, Assam Public Service Commission, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 on or before July 7, 2016.
Applications must be accompanied by self attested copies all educational certificates and mark sheets from Matric/HSLC onwards, age proof certificate issued by the respective Board/University, experience certificates (where necessary) indicating the period of service/experience with dates, and copy of original treasury challan as proof of depositing examination fees.
The eligible candidates shall have to download the attendance certificates/call letters from the APSC website. The candidates shall have to produce identity proof like Pan Card, Driving License, current ID card issued by educational Institutions, Voter ID Card at the time of Written Test and Viva-Voce Interview.
