The repatriation of Bangladeshi nationals who had recently entered border areas of Dhalai district in Tripura was expected to begin today in the presence of BSF and Bangladesh Border Guards, Dhalai district magistrate Milind K Ramteke said.
The Bangladeshi nationals would be sent back to their homeland as per the decision taken at a meeting of BSF and BGB held at Dyke-4 under Raishaybari police station yesterday, he said.
The DM said that he had spoken to Deputy Commissioner of Khagracherri in Bangladesh about the influx of Bangladeshi nationals.

The administration, he said, has already prepared a list of 84 Bangladeshi nationals who have crossed over the Indo-Bangla border.
In the wake of unrest at Khagracherri district of Bangladesh, around 84 Bangladeshi families had crossed over the unfenced Indo-Bangla border and taken shelter at Tuichakma ADC village in Dhalai district.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar told reporters Tripura has taken up the issue of the fresh influx of Bangladeshi nationals in Dhalai district with the Centre for necessary steps.
The Chief Secretary, S K Panda, was asked to send a list of Bangladeshi refugees, who have taken shelter at a remote village in Gandacherra subdivision, to the Indian High Commission office in Dhaka, he said.
