BSF, Pak Rangers have flag meeting at International Border

Pakistan has rejected allegations of firing on Indian positions during the last 13 days in the Kathua and Akhnoor sectors

Officers of the Border Security Force and the Pakistan Rangers had a flag meeting on Tuesday at the Octroi Post in R.S. Pura.

The Indian side was represented by Deputy Inspector General-level officers, while the Pakistan side was represented by Brigade-level officers.

Briefing media after the meeting, Deputy Inspector General J.S. Singla said some decisions were taken,including ensuring the safety of farmers living along the border, and the cutting of elephant grass along the International Border.

He also said that Pakistan has rejected allegations of firing on Indian positions during the last 13 days in the Kathua and Akhnoor sectors.

 

It maybe recalled that over 18 people were injured on Indian side and one Indian Jawan was martyered in the firing from Pakistan.
