Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy has written a letter to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj that a special flight may be arranged to bring back Malayalee nurses who are arriving at Tunisia from the strife-torn Libya. In the present circumstances, it will take more than 10 days for getting air tickets.
The first batch of 58 nurses has already started from Tripoli to reach the Tunisia border. Another batch of 48 female nurses is waiting at Tripoli for the bus to Tunisia. The chief minister demanded that special flight be arranged for the travel of these 108 nurses evacuated from Libya.
