Conference on innovative marketing organised

Under industry institution partnership initiative, Himachal Pradesh-based Baddi University organised a conference on innovative marketing strategies for sustainable growth.

The conference, which provided a platform for sharing best practices and perspectives, saw participation from many eminent industrialists and academia.

The conference ran over three consecutive technical sessions on blue ocean strategies, banking and insurances, capital and new-generation marketing.

Stressing the need to bring innovative thinking in the minds of future managers, the chief guest for the conference, Ashok Tondon, chairman of Mile Stone Group and former chairman of CII Himachal Pradesh Council, stated industry academia partnership must be strengthened which will help in identifying the gaps and devising a strategy for possible solution. He further stated, "We have reached a stage where we need to look at a tailormade education system and we hope endeavours like this will be able to provide insights into the new marketing techniques".
 
Addressing on behalf of the academia, A K Vashisht, chairman, UBS, Panjab University, said an entrepreneur must identify his/her mission, objective and goals to run successful business ventures.
