The opposition Congress on Tuesday demand immediate termination of state Law minister Dilip Sanghani over his public speech where he had alleged that the judiciary was interfering in business of the state government though its various orders.

Leader of the Opposition, Shaktisinh Gohil, said that Sanghani has insulted the judiciary and his comments amount to contempt of court.

He also released a video clip of Sanghani's speech during a function held last month in Jamnagar. In the clip, Sanghani is heard saying, "It is business of the State Government to decide which officer to put where and how and what work he should be assigned. The Courts do not have the right to interfere in the matter. I am telling this as the Law Minister of the State."

"Despite this, courts are wrongly interfering in state business through its verdicts," he was heard saying further in the video clip.

"We demand that Sanghani be immediately sacked from council of Ministers criminal proceedings initiated against him for derogatory remarks on judiciary," Gohil demanded.
