Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the completion of the India-Myanmar-Thailand highway was New Delhi's priority to improve access to Southeast Asia.

"Connectivity is an important area and is our priority. It will help us improve access to Southeast Asia," Modi said in a joint statement with his Thailand counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha, on a three-day visit to India.

"We have prioritised the completion of the India-Myanmar-Thailand highway," Modi said.

The Indian leader also said that "a double entry visa will be facilitated to Thai citizens".

To commemorate 70 years of relations with Thailand, Modi said there would be a Festival of Thailand in India and a Festival of India in Thailand.

Also, the Indian constitution would be translated in Thai language, he said.
