Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi's health worsens after post-Covid complications
The health condition of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi deteriorated on Monday morning and he is "very very critical", doctors said.
The octogenerian Congress leader, undergoing treatment at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital for post-Covid complications, is being monitored by a team of nine doctors, GMCH Superintendent Abhijit Sarma said.

PM Modi to review Covid situation with CMs tomorrow
Amid the rising cases of coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to review the situation on Tuesday with the Chief Ministers, sources said.
Sources also said the Prime Minister will discuss the rollout of the vaccine programme in the states.
He will hold virtual meetings with the Chief Ministers of Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, West Bengal and Kerala.

Covid-19 caseload in India breaches 9.1 million mark
India's Covid-19 caseload went past 91 lakh with44,059 coronavirus infections being reported in a day, while therecoveries surged to 85,62,641, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.
The total coronavirus cases mounted to91,39,865 while the death toll climbed to1,33,738 with 511 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

Russia coronavirus update: 24,581 new Covid-19 cases reported
Russia has reported 24,581 more Covid-19 infections, slightly down from the all-time high of 24,822 a day earlier, the country's Covid-19 response centre said on Sunday.
The daily increase has been above 24,000 for three consecutive days, according to data provided by the centre.

Turkey coronavirus update: Daily Covid-19 cases exceed 6,000 mark
Turkey reported 6,017 new Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infections in the country to 446,822, the Turkish Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, 139 people died in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 12,358.A total of 3,812 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, raising the total recoveries to 374,637.

Brazil coronavirus update: Toll reaches 169,183 with 194 new deaths
Brazil has reported 194 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the national death toll to 1,69,183, the health ministry said.
With 18,615 new cases, the COVID-19 caseload in Brazil has reached 6,071,401, Xinhua reported
The Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, the most populous in the country, has also been the most affected, with 41,267 deaths.
At least nine Brazilian states, including Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, have seen an uptick in hospitalisations.
