Kerala coronavirus update: State records 8,553 new Covid-19 cases

In the last 24 hours, Kerala recorded 8,553 new coronavirus cases, taking the state's active Covid-19 cases to 84,497.
 
The state government informed that 1,44,471 people in the state have recovered from the infection.

WHO says 1.5 million coronavirus cases now registered across Africa

The number of registered COVID-19 infection across Africa's 54 nations has now surpassed the 1.5 million mark, according to the continent's World Health Organization chapter.

Delhi coronavirus update: 2,683 new Covid-19 cases and 38 deaths reported in the national capital

With a total of 2,683 new Covid-19 cases and 38 fatalities reported on Sunday the total number of novel coronavirus cases in the national capital rose to 2.9 lakh, the Delhi government said.
 
According to the official data, the city reported 3,126 recoveries today.
 
The total number of cases includes 2,60,350 recoveries or discharges or migrations and 5,510 deaths while active cases stood at 24,753.

Odisha spends Rs 472 crore from CMRF for Covid management

The state government has spent Rs 472.63 crores from Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) for Covid-19 management in Odisha so far.
 
As per an official release, 62 Covid hospitals have been established with 8245 beds, 1426 ICU/HDU beds, 531 ventilators. Apart from the hospitals, COVID Care Centres (CCC) have been established across the State with 16,828 beds.
 
"Amount of Rs 472.63 crores has been spent from CMRF for effective Covid Management and further funds have been committed for the fight against coronavirus in the coming months," the release said.
 
The Hospitals have not only taken care of the Covid-related ailments but also any other health diseases of the Covid patients. Plasma Therapy has also been started on a large scale and the entire treatment is free of cost to the patients.
