Bengal logs 784 new Covid-19 cases, six more fatalities
The COVID-19 tally in West Bengal increased to 15,74,801 on Friday after the state reported 784 fresh cases, the health department said in a bulletin.
The death toll rose to 18,882 after six more people succumbed to the infection.
The bulletin also said 746 patients were cured of the infection in the last 24 hours and the recovery rate is 98.32 per cent.
Sikkim logs 33 new Covid-19 cases, tally rises to 31,636
Sikkim reported 33 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 31,636, a health department bulletin said on Friday.
East Sikkim registered 21 positive cases, while West Sikkim and South Sikkim each accounted for six infections
The state now has 326 active cases, while 30,606 people have recovered and 316 others migrated out.
Goa reports 56 Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths, 85 recoveries
The COVID-19 tally in Goa reached 1,76,980 on Friday with the detection of 56 cases, while the day also saw two deaths, which took the toll to 3,325, an official said,
The discharge of 85 people on Friday took the recovery count to 1,72,907, leaving the state with an active tally of 748, he said.
With 4,445 samples being tested in the last 24 hours, the number of tests in Goa went up to 13,86,708, he added.

35 school students found Covid positive in Himachal Pradesh
Sixty-seven persons, including 35 students at a school, were tested positive for COVID-19 here on Friday, an official said.
This took the number of active cases to 317 in the district, he said.
According to the official, 35 students of the Navodaya Vidyalaya at Doongri in Hamirpur were found to be Covid positive Friday, while 11 were earlier tested positive for the virus, he added.
Delhi records zero Covid death, 39 new cases; positivity rate 0.06%
Delhi recorded zero death due to Covid-19 and 39 fresh cases on Friday with a positivity rate of 0.06 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
Only five Covid-related deaths were reported last month -- one each on September 7, 16 and 17, and two on September 28, according to official figures.
One fatality due to coronavirus infection has been recorded so far this month in Delhi on October 2, according to official data.
201 new Covid-19 cases, one death in Telangana
Telangana on Friday reported 201 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally to 6,67,535, while the toll rose to 3,927 with one more fatality.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 64, followed by Warangal Urban and Ranga Reddy (12 each) districts, a state government bulletin said, providing details as of 5.30 PM.
The number of recoveries outnumbered fresh cases on Friday with 220 people recuperating from the infectious disease, taking the cumulative number to 6,59,263.
Karnataka coronavirus update: 397 new Covid-19 cases, 5 deaths
Karnataka logged 397 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths on Friday, taking the total number of infections to 29,80,170 and the toll to 37,866.
The day also saw 603 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries in the state so far to 29,30,867.
Bengaluru Urban accounted for most of the cases (140), as the city saw 148 discharges and three deaths.
The total number of active cases in the state is now11,408.

Maha CM inaugurates two Covid-19 health centres developed by CIDCO
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday inaugurated two dedicated Covid-19 health centres (DCHCs) developed by CIDCO in Kalamboli and Kanjurmarg.
The chief minister virtually inaugurated the two DCHCs and the CIDCO Investment and Infrastructure Summit.
Thackeray congratulated CIDCO for completing the DCHCs in a short time and expressed confidence that the summit will attract citizens and investors to the city.
Karnataka aims 2nd dose for 70% eligible people by Dec-end: CM Bommai
The Centre has assured it will supply more COVID-19 vaccine to Karnataka as the state targets to inoculate 70 per cent of its eligible population with the second dose by December-end, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Friday after meeting Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya here.
The Union minister in the meeting said he was happy with the vaccination drive undertaken by the state, which has achieved 1.48 crore doses of vaccination last month, he told reporters.
"The minister assured us that he will give more (vaccines) if required. We have a stock of 51 lakh doses and a special drive is being undertaken. We are focusing on giving the second dose to people," Bommai said.
Mizoram logs 1,080 new Covid-19 cases, 1 fresh fatality
Mizoram's COVID-19 tally rose to 1,03,709 on Friday as 1,080 more people, including 260 children and three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, tested positive for the infection, while one fresh fatality pushed the northeastern state's coronavirus death toll to 342, a health official said.
Aizawl district registered the highest number of new cases at 635, followed by Lunglei (109) and Champhai (93), he said, adding that the single-day positivity rate stood at 12.88 per cent.
Eight new patients have travel history, while 1,072 fresh infections were detected during contact tracing.
