Russian President Vladimir Putin gets vaccinated against coronavirus

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday got vaccinated against coronavirus.

 

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik that "Putin has been vaccinated against coronavirus. He is feeling well. Tomorrow he has a full working day."

 

Putin is among the latest world leader to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden have got already themselves vaccinated against the virus.

28,699 new Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, 132 deaths

Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 28,699 new COVID-19 cases and 132 deaths, the state health department said.

 

The daily death count was the highest since November 20 last year when 155 deaths had been reported.

 

The caseload in the state rose to 25,33,026 and death toll reached 53,589.

 

With the discharge of 13,165 patients, the total of recoveries increased to 22,47,495, while there are 2,30,641 active cases.

All above 45 years of age to get Covid-19 vaccine from April 1: Govt

The government has decided to open up its Covid-19 vaccination drive for all above 45 years of age from April 1, and requested that all eligible people should “immediately register and get vaccinated”. The rest of the population could be considered for vaccination coverage once the current stage is over.

 

“Supply chains and supply lines are intact. We are going stage-wise on the advice of experts and doctors, and will do the same in the next phase as well. I am sure everyone will appreciate today’s decision and come forward to get the shot,” Union minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters after the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Read on...
