Covid-19 patient jumps to death from fifth floor of Delhi hospital

A 52-year-old Covid-19 patient allegedly jumped to her death from the fifth floor of Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) in Shahdara area here on Wednesday, police said.

 

According to doctors, the woman was suffering from depression.

 

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and found the woman, Padmaja, a resident of Dilshad Colony, dead, a senior officer said.

2,584 new Covid-19 cases in Karnataka; Tally rises to 853,000

Karnataka added 2,584 new Covid-19 cases and 23 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 853,796 and the toll to 11,453, the health department said on Wednesday.

 

The day also saw 2,881 patients getting discharged after recovery.

 

Cumulatively 853,796 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 11,453 deaths and 8,11,581 discharges, it said in a bulletin.

Mumbai's Dharavi records two new Covid-19 cases

With two new Covid-19 cases detected on Wednesday, the tally in Mumbai's Dharavi area reached 3,608, a senior official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

3,246 patients have already recovered in the area.
