Over 457,000 homes in Goa surveyed for Covid-19
As many as 457,000 households in Goa were covered in a special community health survey conducted to ascertain the spread of coronavirus, the state government informed the legislative Assembly on Tuesday.
In a written reply tabled in the House, state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said during the survey, 5,271 persons, 1.51 per cent of the surveyed population, were diagnosed with influenza-like illness.

Two Poland players positive for virus before England qualifier
Two Poland players have tested positive for the coronavirus, the Polish Football Association said on Tuesday, a day before the team plays against England in a World Cup qualifier.
Defender Kamil Piatkowski and midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak tested positive before the team's scheduled flight to Britain.
The association said it was talking with UEFA to try to get permission for Krychowiak to play because he has had the virus before.

463 new Covid-19 cases in Telangana in past 24 hours
The upward trend in Covid-19 cases continued in Telangana with 463 new infections being reported, pushing the total positives to 3.07 lakh, while the toll rose to 1,694 with four more fatalities.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) saw the most number of cases with 145, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts with 46 and 28 cases respectively, a state government bulletin said on Tuesday providing details as of 8 PM on March 29.

Over 700 fined in Delhi on Holi for not wearing face masks
Over 700 people were issued challans across the national capital on Holi for not wearing masks in public, police said on Tuesday.
People were also penalised for violating social distancing norms and spitting in public places, they said.
Till 4 pm on Monday, 730 challans were issued to people who were found without a face mask, nine were fined for not adhering to social distancing norms and three for spitting in public places, according to data shared by the police.

56,211 new Covid-19 cases, 271 fatalities in last 24 hours in India
India reported 56, 211 fresh COVID-19 cases and 271 related deaths in the last 24 hours, the union health ministry informed on Tuesday morning.
With this, the total number of cases and the death toll in the country has surged to 1,20,95,855 and 1,62,114 respectively. The country also saw 37,028 recoveries in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 1,13,93,021.
