Coronavirus update: 1,607 new cases, 6 deaths in Telangana
Telangana recorded 1,607 fresh coronavirus cases taking the tally to2.48 lakh while sixmore deaths pushed the toll to 1,372.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 296, followed by Rangareddy 115 and Medchal Malkajgiri 113, a government bulletin said on Saturday providing data as of 8 PM on November 6.
As many as19,936 are under treatment and44,644 samples were tested on November 6.

Consider your mask a vaccine, says Kejriwal as third wave of Covid hits Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said wearing a mask is the biggest protection against Coronavirus till the time a vaccine is developed.
The Chief Minister was laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Rohtak Road on Friday.
Kejriwal said Delhi is facing a third wave of the virus,and he was extremely hopeful that Delhiites will continue to support the fight against the pandemic. "Earlier, Delhi has successfully defeated dengue. In 2015, dengue cases had reached a new high. Over the past two years, we have not recorded a single death due to dengue," said Kejriwal, while speaking on the occasion.

Second Covid-19 wave may come prior to Dec 15: Rajasthan Health Minister
Rajasthan Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has stated that experts believe, the second wave of Covid-19 may come prior to December 15 hence, people need to be cautious and follow all protocols.
"Experts believe that the second wave may come prior to December 15 this year, so people have to be very cautious, wear masks, maintain social distance and wash hands frequently to keep themselves safe," said Sharma.
He said that according to the experts, there will be an increase in the cases of seasonal diseases, swine flu, dengue, cold and cough, pollution, etc in winters, which is going to severe, and if the pollution levels rise, corona cases will certainly surge. "If people wear masks and maintain discipline for a month, then the coronavirus chain can be broken."

Coronavirus global update: France's Covid-19 daily infections top 60,000, an all-time high
France confirmed a new record of 60,486 COVID-19 cases within 24 hours, beating Thursday's tally of 58,046 cases, official data showed.
The cumulative number of people who caught the coronavirus stood at 1,661,853, the world's fifth highest tally, according to figures posted on the government's coronavirus information website on Friday, Xinhua news agency reported.
Since the outbreak, France reported 39,865 deaths because of the coronavirus after 828 new patients died in one day.
On Friday, the country's hospitals received 553 patients with COVID-19, bringing the number of hospitalizations to 28,979. That included 4,331 people who required life support, a single day rise of 101.

Coronavirus global update: UK reports 23,287 new Covid-19 cases
Another 23,287 people in the UK have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, which increased the country's overall infection tally to 1,146,484, according to official figures.
Also on Friday, coronavirus deaths rose by 355 to 48,475, Xinhua news agency reported.
Earlier in the day, the government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) announced that the UK's coronavirus reproduction number, also known as the R number, remained between 1.1 and 1.3, the same as last week's figure.
