No new coronavirus deaths seven states/UTs in three weeks: Govt

Seven states and UTs have reported no new COVID-19 deaths in the last three weeks, while 15 have not registered any such fatality in the past 24 hours, the Centre said on Tuesday, underlining that from the pandemic point of view consistent gains are being made in terms of declining new cases and casualities.
 
The Centre, however, noted that the last national serosurvey findings have shown that over 70 per cent of the population is still susceptible to the disease.
 
The seven states and UTs -- Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mizoram, Nagaland and Lakshadweep -- have reported no new COVID-19 deaths in last three weeks, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said.

It seems the Apple Watch that you wear can help detect even Covid-19 as researchers have found that the device can identify such cases earlier than traditional diagnostic methods and can help track and improve management of the disease.
 
The study by researchers at Mount Sinai hospital in the US found that subtle changes in a participant's heart rate variability (HRV) measured by an Apple Watch were able to signal the onset of Covid-19 up to seven days before the individual was diagnosed with the infection via nasal swab, and also to identify those who have symptoms. Fifteen states and Union Territories have not reported any death due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the government said on Tuesday, indicating the pandemic could be waning in the country.
 
Seven states and Union Territories have not reported a fatality in the last week, said government officials at a press conference in Delhi. India remains the second most-affected nation in terms of Covid-19 cases, but deaths due to the disease are declining and recoveries increasing. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in recent weeks has said India had managed to contain the disease through its indigenous efforts. "Corona was an unknown enemy. But India, to save its citizens, fought an unknown enemy. The glory of winning that fight does not go to any government or individual.
