Coronavirus: UP doubles hand sanitiser production to 82,000 litres/day

Manufacturing entities include 62 industrial units, including sugar mills

Amid the rising demand for hand sanitiser to protect against the pandemic coronavirus, the industrial units in Uttar Pradesh, including sugar mills, have nearly doubled their manufacturing capacity to over 82,000 litres per day.

 

Currently, 62 industrial units are commercially producing hand sanitiser in UP, of which 26 are dedicated hand sanitiser manufacturing plants. Besides, there are 23 sugar mills, 10 stand alone distilleries and three independent entities, which have set up
