India records lowest daily growth rate of new Covid-19 cases: Govt

The GoM was informed that domestic manufacturers, which were identified earlier, have already started producing PPE kits and masks, and that an adequate quantity of the same was available

India's average doubling rate of new coronavirus cases has slowed to has 9.1 days, said the government on Saturday as it credited a nationwide lockdown for containing the disease.

The country recorded a 6 per cent growth in new cases from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am--the slowest uptick in daily new cases since crossing 100 cases, it said.
