Telecom networks partially disrupted in Puri, Bhubaneswar
According to news agency PTI, telecommunication networks have been partially disrupted in Puri and Bhubaneswar districts in Odisha due to cyclonic storm Fani making landfall on Friday morning. In addition to the trains (scheduled from May 1 to May 3) cancelled earlier, East Coast Railway has cancelled 10 more trains.

Cricket Association of Bengal postpones local matches till May 6
In view of the Cyclone Fani, the Cricket Association of Bengal has postponed all the local matches till Monday.
"This is to inform all concerned that cricket matches of this Association scheduled to be held from 3rd to 6th May, 2019 are hereby postponed owing to cyclonic storm 'Fani' as forecasted by the Metrological department, Kolkata. The revised dates of such postponed matches would be intimated in due course," a statement from the CAB read.

Heavy rains and winds with speeds of up to 175 kmph, cyclonic storm 'Fani' slammed into the Odisha coast Friday morning, uprooting trees and sweeping away thatched huts, as large areas of the seaside pilgrim town of Puri were left submerged, said the news agency PTI.
