DATA STORY: Covid vaccinations in India now at 75.79% of total tally

With 296,211 more vaccine shots being administered on Saturday, the total number of people inoculated in India has reached 8,263,858 - that is 75.79% of its total caseload, and 0.5952% of population

India on Sunday reported a net increase of 996 to take its count of active coronavirus cases to 137,567, which is 86.48 per cent lower than the September 18 peak of 1,017,754. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases now stands at 0.54 per cent (one in 185). The country is 17^th among the most affected countries by active cases. India added 12,194 cases to take its total caseload to 10,904,940. And, with 92 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 155,642, or 1.43 per cent of total confirmed infections.
