DATA STORY: Delhi reports fewest new Covid cases since Aug 25; recovery rate at 96.65%

India on Saturday conducted 1,107,681 coronavirus tests, taking the total count of tests conducted so far in the country to 161,198,495. The test positivity rate recorded was 2.4%

India on Sunday reported a net reduction of 3,407 to bring its count of active coronavirus cases down to 305,344, the lowest level since July 13. With a continuous trend of daily reductions, India’s share of global active coronavirus cases is down at 1.44 per cent (one in 69). The country added 26,624 cases to take its total caseload to 10,031,223. And with 341 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 145,477, or 1.45 per cent of total confirmed infections.
