India on Wednesday reported a net decrease of 1,608 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 391,256. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases now stands at 2.07 per cent (one in 48). The country is seventh among the most affected countries by active cases. On Tuesday, it added 37,875 cases to take its total caseload to 33,096,718 from 33,058,843 — an increase of 0.1%. And, with 369 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 441,411, or 1.33 per cent of total confirmed infections.
