	Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal held a review meeting with officials on several issues, including security. He also held a meeting with peace committees in northeast Delhi. The Delhi Police till Wednesday had registered 531 FIRs and arrested or detained 1,647 people in connection with the communal violence that claimed at least 42 lives.</div>

	Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the situation in the national capital was fast returning to normal amid growing criticism from other countries. Law enforcement agencies doing their best to bring situation under control, MEA said in a media briefing.</div>

	Days after condemning the communal violence in Delhi, Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth said he was willing to play any role in order to maintain peace in the country.</div>

	The actor made the comments in a tweet after a few leaders from a Muslim outfit called on him at his residence here on Sunday.</div>
