Eliminate Haj subsidy in 10 years: SC to centre

In a significant judgement, the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the government to eliminate Haj subsidy within 10 years, saying that this amount can be used for social and educational development of Muslims. It also ordered the government to stop sending a large official Goodwil Haj delegation which is "unwieldy, amorphous and randomly" selected.
