A 23-year-old female employee of ecommerce company Snapdeal was allegedly abducted on Wednesday night, while she was on her way back home after work.
Media reports, quoting the police say that Dipti Sarna travels from her office in Gurgaon by metro to Vaishali, from where she would take an auto to a bus-stand in Ghaziabad; there, her family members would pick her up. On the night of the incident, Sarna was on call with her family, while she was in an auto-rickshaw on her way to the bus stop.
Reports state that Sarna's parents heard her shouting at the auto driver for taking a wrong route, after which her mobile was switched off.
Kunal Bahl, the Snapdeal founder, in a tweet said the organization is working with the police to help locate Sarna.
