Flight service between Puducherry and Bengaluru resumes

Alliance Air, subsidiary of Air India resumed the service on Tuesday

The flight service from here to Bengaluru resumed on Tuesday after a gap of nearly one year.

Spicejet had operated services between Puducherry and Bengaluru for nearly a year from 2013. However, it was discontinued.

Alliance Air, subsidiary of Air India resumed the service on Tuesday.

Talking to reporters after issuing boarding passes to passengers at the airport here, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said the resumption of flight service to Bengaluru was a positive signal to ensure that the tourism would make good progress.

The Alliance Air operates ATR 48 flight between the two cities on all days except on Wednesdays.
