The situation in flood-hit states across the country, particularly Assam and Bihar, remains grim.
Till late Sunday, more than 10,000 persons had been evacuated nationwide on account of floods, according to authorities.
Here are the state-wise updates:
Assam: According to reports, 31 people have died in the state due to floods till late Sunday evening. About 3.7 million people across 3,300 villages in 28 districts have been affected by the floods so far.
The state government is said to be operating 463 relief camps and distribution centres, where almost 0.15 million people have taken shelter in 18 districts.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been deployed.
“Forty-four self-contained flood rescue teams of NDRF have been pre-positioned to assist the respective state administrations in rescue and relief work. 12 flood rescue teams are relentlessly engaged in relief and rescue work in Assam,” the central disaster response force said.
The Brahmaputra river is flowing above the danger mark at Nematighat in Jorhat, Goalpara and Dhubri towns.
Nearly 150 rural roads in the state have been damaged and 1,729 people have been rescued so far, The Times of India reported on Monday. It added that rain and thundershowers are likely over the next 24 hours.
Bihar: The flood toll in Bihar stood at 26 till late Sunday evening, with an estimated 2.75 million people affected across 12 districts. However, no fresh casualties have been reported.
Crops spread across 0.33 million hectares of land have been damaged by the floods in the state, added reports. The Ghaghra, Bagmati, Koshi and Mahananda rivers are flowing above the danger mark at several places.
Eight NDRF teams are also operating in marooned areas.
“In addition to rescue work, National Disaster Response Force teams also established medical camps at various areas of Assam and Bihar and provided medical care to 1,233 persons. The operation is still in progress,” the NDRF said.
Odisha: The number of deaths caused by lightning strikes in the state has increased to 45 from 32 in the past 24 hours, according to a Times of India report.
According to reports, several parts of the state are likely to be lashed by heavy rainfall and thundershowers, coupled with gusty surface winds due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
The Meteorological Centre situated in state capital Bhubaneswar has reportedly said that most places in north and south Odisha are likely to see rains or thundershowers on Monday. Additionally, reports cited the Centre as saying that gusty surface wind with 35 to 50 kmph speed might prevail along and off the south Odisha coast.
Sea conditions are likely to be moderate to rough along the south Odisha coast and fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
Uttar Pradesh: Reports said the state continued to receive heavy downpour. By Sunday, many rivers, including the Ganga and Sharda, were flowing close to or above the danger mark, creating a flood-like situation in several villages in the catchment areas. While Baheri recorded 17 cm of rainfall, Palliakalan, Hamirpur and Bareilly registered 14 cm, 13 cm and 12 cm rain respectively.
Uttarakhand: According to reports from late Sunday, five pilgrims were injured in the state following a landslide in Rudraprayag where incessant rain led to blocking of several roads, including the Chardham yatra routes.
Meghalaya: Reports said that at least 1,75,000 people in the state have also been affected by flooding.
