A 14-year-old girl was today charred to death after she was trapped inside a car which caught fire after collision with a truck at Kamrej taluka along NH-8 in Surat district, police said.
The incident took place early this morning at Dhoran-Pardi village of Kamrej.
The deceased has been identified as Muskan Parmar, a resident of Paalgam area of Surat city.
According to Kamrej police, she was travelling with her parents Piyush Parmar and Jolly Parmar when the accident took place. After meeting their relatives in Ahmedabad, the trio were coming back to Surat in their car, said Police Sub Inspector of Kamrej D R Vasava.
